We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a care home setting. As a Senior Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supervising care staff, developing care plans, and ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of care.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and support junior care staff in their daily duties to ensure effective delivery of care services.
* Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans tailored to the needs of each resident.
* Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their health or behaviour.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
* Assist with training and mentoring new staff members to uphold best practices within the team.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
* Participate in team meetings to discuss resident welfare and improve service delivery.
Requirements
* Previous experience in senior care or a similar role within a care home setting is essential.
* Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership skills is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of developing and implementing effective care plans for residents.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and their families.
* Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care.
* A valid driving licence is preferred to assist with transportation needs when required.
