Job Type: Permanent | Hours: Full time (40 hours/week) | Salary: £34,500/annum, depending on experience.

Our team consists of over 60 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVN) and 32 recognised specialists in surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, oncology, neurology, cardiology, dentistry, diagnostic imaging and anaesthesia.

About the Role
* Full‑time permanent position (40 hours per week)
* Monday to Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
* No out‑of‑hours or weekend work required
About You
* Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a minimum of 2–3 years’ experience within a multi‑disciplinary referral practice.
* Enthusiastic, flexible, and enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment.
* High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high standards of service.
* Organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
* Confident communicator capable of liaising effectively with internal teams.
* Excellent command of written and spoken English.
* Maintain a professional and caring approach in all aspects of your work.
* Provide evidence of your Right to Work in the UK.
Your Role and Responsibilities
* Ensure the day‑to‑day organisation of the theatre department, including scheduling of cases and staffing resources.
* Ensure the provision of high‑standard care to patients in line with practice and professional body expectations.
* Act as a highly visible, proactive, and accessible leader, providing overarching supervision to the team.
* Take remedial action on shift to address concerns – troubleshoot and problem‑solve operational, care, and staffing issues.
* Optimise patient flow into and out of theatre by communicating efficiently with Diagnostics, Wards, Reception, and booking teams.
* Maintain theatre areas to a high standard of cleanliness appropriate to a clinical environment.
* Manage departmental downtime appropriately, using it for deep cleaning and maintenance tasks.
