🔌 Principal Electrical Engineer / Manager – Data Centres

We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer / Manager to join a leading consultancy delivering major Data Centre projects across London and Europe. This is a senior role with the opportunity to lead complex mission-critical facilities and mentor a talented engineering team.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading electrical design and delivery for large-scale data centre projects
* Managing and mentoring teams of 3–10 engineers (local and international)
* Overseeing projects from concept through to construction and commissioning
* Driving quality and best practice in mission-critical electrical systems
* Engaging directly with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
* Providing technical expertise in LV/HV systems, UPS, generators, and resilience strategies
What we’re looking for:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent vocational training with experience)
* 6–15 years’ experience in building services electrical engineering
* Proven mission-critical design experience (data centres, clean tech, telecoms)
* Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent professional registration)
* Strong technical expertise in HV/MV and LV systems, UPS, AC/DC, and switchgear
* Proficiency with tools such as Revit, Autocad, Amtech, Dialux, SKM, ETAP, or Easypower
* Strong communication skills with ability to build relationships at all levels
* Organised, proactive, and capable of managing deadlines, budgets, and risk
* Passion for mentoring and supporting team growth
