Specialist Support Worker

We're looking for a skilled, upbeat, and engaging individual to join our team and help deliver a dynamic programme of activities and co-production opportunities within The STEP Project (Support That Empowers People) in Rhyl, Denbighshire.
What's STEP?
STEP supports individuals and families living in temporary accommodation, offering meaningful activities that boost wellbeing, build confidence, and help shape better futures. The project will support up to 32 households across various settings in the borough - from B&Bs to bespoke supported living spaces.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Designing and leading inspiring, purposeful activities for both families and single people across the community.
* Creating co-production opportunities so everyone has a voice in shaping the service.
* Working closely with a passionate, supportive team across multiple sites in Rhyl.
* Acting as a positive role model, using trauma-informed, psychologically informed practice.
* Designing activities for those who struggle with a mixture of complex needs.
* Applying a trauma and psychologically informed approach to support.

* Can confidently lead group activities that promote wellbeing and self-esteem.
* Are creative and inclusive, with a talent for bringing people together.
* Believe in the power of listening, inclusion, and community-led ideas.
* Are open to working some evenings and weekends as part of a rota.
* Good knowledge of complex issues - for example: homelessness, substance misuse and mental health.
The Details:
* Salary: £30,492.57 per annum
* Hours: 40 hours per week (rota-based, may include evenings/weekends)
* Contract: Permanent
* Location: Rhyl, Denbighshire
