The Early Years Practitioner works in partnership with families and colleagues to support each child’s individual learning journey in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. DUTIES: Under the direction of the Headteacher: To contribute to the planning for and delivery of the early years curriculum within the seven areas of learning in “Foundation Stage”. To implement the agreed schools development plan. To contribute to the creating of an attractive/stimulating, safe/secure class/school environment through display and classroom organisation. To contribute to the assessment of pupils, particularly those in your particular group through observations, records and discussions with other team members, parents and the Head Teacher. To support the maintenance of positive links between home and school by making parents feel welcome and develop links with other agencies. To maintain a safe environment for children, other staff and visitors so far as it is possible. To be aware of, and maintain, specific school policies which relate to pupils in the classroom, ie; behaviour, equal opportunities and marking where applicable. • To be a qualified NNEB or hold other appropriate recognised qualification. (NNEB, BTEC Diploma, NVQ III). • The post holder will not have any supervisory responsibility over any other staff. • Responsible to Headteacher/Teacher/Supervisory Early Years Practitioner • To work under supervision physically in the same classroom as the above.
