Partnership Officer: Child Poverty and Employability
35 hours per week
Temporary up to 31st March 2027
£34,320 - £36,985 / £18.81 - £20.27 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Community Learning, Development and Employability Team, for a Partnership Officer to support alignment and integration between employability support and the wrap-around services that support parents on their journey towards, into and to progress within work.
As a Project Officer you will provide advice and support focused on child poverty and parental employability, to the Orkney Local Employability Partnership, Orkney Community Planning Partnership and other forums, carrying out data collection, research, service review, policy development, performance measuring and statistical analysis.
The post holder will also work with parents and families, to deliver high-quality person centred employability provision to support positive steps towards learning, training and fair and sustainable work.
Candidates should hold SCQF 8/9 i.e. SVQ4/HND, General Degree, Higher Apprenticeship, Technical Apprenticeship or equivalent in a relevant area, or a minimum of 5 years pervious relevant experience as detailed in the experience section of the person specification.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
This post requires Level 1 Disclosure Scotland Clearance.
