Position: Carpenter
Location: Great Western Hospital, Swindon
Contract Type: Temporary on-going
Start Date: ASAP - April 2025
Contract Length: 3 months
Working Pattern: Full Time - Monday - Friday (Shift times between 7:00 - 19:00)
Pay: £14.11 per hour
NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry desirable.
As a Carpenter, you will provide safe and efficient maintenance of the Building Fabric and equipment within the hospital as directed by Estates Supervisors and Management.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Providing safe and efficient maintenance of the Building Fabric and equipment within the hospital as directed by Estates Supervisors and Management
* Working within a team and independently when required
* Adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary
* Repairing fire-rated doors in accordance with fire regulations, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines
* Ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, including fire ratings, smoke sealing, and door clearances
* Installing and maintaining fire-rated door hardware, including locks, hinges, and closers
The ideal candidate will have:
* Completion of a recognised appropriate Apprenticeship or other relevant structured Training Program
* NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry
* BM Trada Trained
* Experience in all aspects of fire door inspection and maintenance
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Health & Safety awareness and safe working practices
