As an at home Cleaner, you will primarily be working in our infinity at home department supporting those in their home with cleaning duties, however, you may be asked to support other areas of the Charity to ensure the smooth running of activities and services.
Location: Isle of Sheppey and surrounding areas.
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 8 per week building to 15, 9 am – 4 pm across Monday to Friday.
DBS: Required, Enhanced
Driving: Full clean driving license and access to own car essential
Main Duties:
* Perform thorough cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, hoovering, and inside window cleaning in clients' homes.
* Providing deep cleans for clients on a regular basis or ad hoc. These duties will involve skirting boards, cupboard cleanouts, ovens, microwaves, and any other tasks agreed by the team leader.
* Follow the cleaning rota set out by the management team.
* Follow established procedures for the proper cleaning of areas, ensuring safety.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations including COSHH.
* Cover centre cleaning when the regular cleaner is off.
* Providing practical support for clients and their families, such as helping with household tasks.
* Where needed work within other areas of the organisation to cover staff holidays, Sick cover, and understaffing.
* This post will involve lone working and visiting people in their own homes including some exposure to dealing with difficult and emotional circumstances/situations.
Essential Skills and Requirements:
* Experience in a commercial or residential cleaning.
* Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
* Ability to work proactively on own initiative.
* Willing to undertake appropriate training.
* Being flexible to work to the needs of the Charity, supporting any area needing cover on demand.
* Good listening and communication skills.
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Appreciation of how long-term health conditions may impact on individuals, their carers and families.
* Passion to support and empower individuals to take control of their health and wellbeing.
