Overview
Our friendly District Nursing team in Weymouth and Portland is looking for a Band 5 Community Staff Nurse to join the team on a permanent contract.
The post is for 37.5 hours per week and includes weekends and bank holidays. Candidates can be newly qualified or experienced; full training and support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Wound care
* Palliative care
* IV drug administration
* Medication and injection administration
* Diabetes management
* Other diverse clinical skills as required
Requirements & Conditions
* Ability to drive and have access to a car.
* Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (cost covered by the Trust).
* Right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
* Will be willing to work weekends, late shifts (until 8 pm) and bank holidays on a pro‑rata basis.
Training and Development
We provide a comprehensive and fully supported preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses, along with a specific clinical upskilling programme to support the transition from student to registered general nurse (RGN).
