We are currently recruiting for a General Assistant to join our team at one of our independent schools in Wrenthorpe, WF2.
This is a permanent, term-time only position. Working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rota of 7am to 3pm.

We are looking for a positive, honest, and reliable individual to join our friendly and hardworking team. Full training will be provided, and for the right candidate, there will be good prospects for development within our team.
The role is based in a busy, fast-paced school environment where you will help prepare fresh food for students and staff. Duties include food preparation, sandwich making, serving meals, running the student tuck shop, general cleaning, and dishwashing. The role may also involve supporting hospitality events such as buffets. Flexibility is required for some out-of-hours events. All appointments are subject to a full DBS check.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Have experience working in a similar role and environment
2. Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
3. Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
4. Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
5. Have excellent customer service and social skills
6. Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff
7. Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 8
8. Be customer focused
9. Have basic food knowledge
10. Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
