Job Description:
Are you looking to use your writing skills in your career?
Do you want to work for an exciting, fast-growing company?
The Company
A welcoming company that focuses on staff satisfaction, welfare, and personal development. They respect their staff, encourage a friendly office environment, and host regular informal gatherings and outings. You will become part of an excellent team with a fantastic industry reputation for high-quality service.
My client is a rapidly growing Reading-based business specializing in tender writing, bidding, and public procurement. They support their clients in growing their businesses by writing bids to win new work and contracts.
The role
We are looking for candidates with excellent writing and communication skills to become outstanding bid writers.
Your role will involve communicating with clients, understanding their businesses, and translating their service offerings into compelling narratives. This role offers exposure to various organizations (such as charities, consultancy firms, and tier-one construction companies) and sectors (including custody and justice; energy and tech; security and defense; health and social care; and civil engineering and construction).
You will support clients in bidding for iconic projects, helping shape public sector services in the UK. You will build long-lasting relationships and be invested in your clients' success.
About you
We seek diligent candidates who are excellent communicators, proactive, good at time management, and able to work independently or as part of a team. If you are adaptable, resilient, eager to improve your writing skills, and a team player, we look forward to your application.
Our client values individuals with a foundation in academic and writing skills, developing them into professional bid writers. Ideal candidates often have backgrounds in English Literature, Law, History, or other essay-based subjects.
Apply if you excel at:
* Writing (reports, articles, essays, etc.) and interpreting information quickly and clearly
* Communication (emails, calls, reports) and building positive client relationships
* Time management (meeting deadlines and planning).
You will receive industry-leading training from a Senior Bid Consultant and ongoing support through weekly 1:1s with a company director and roundtable sessions.
* Flexible working hours (8am-6pm, core hours 10am-4pm)
* Performance-based bonus scheme
* Company contribution to counseling sessions ('no questions asked')
* Flexible progression options into writing specialisms and management roles
* Company pension contributions
* 25 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays
