Elite Fire Solutions Ltd are a fast-growing company specialising in the installation, service and maintenance of fire protection products within the construction industry. As part of our expansion we are recruiting for a Project Co-Ordinator, that has proven experience working on fast paced projects in the construction industry.
Summary of role
As a Project Co-Ordinator, you will provide support to the Contracts Manager on a challenging, varied and fast paced government contract.
Duties and key responsibilities:
* Working alongside Project Managers and Contract Managers to schedule jobs and manage diaries of site staff
* Ensuring installers have clear site instructions on dates, location and works required
* Regularly liaising with the client on updates or issues
* Ordering of materials - using software and reading survey reports to establish requirements, raising purchase orders, liaising with site staff on queries and couriers on delivery issues
* Monitoring job progression and updating our job management software Bolster and simPRO (training will be provided, but you must have an aptitude to learning new systems). Escalate or deal with any delays or issues immediately to Project Manager/Contract Manager
* Put together completion packs using Bolster and Adobe paying close attention to detail
* Working to tight deadlines on project completions
* Ensure procedures are followed for our accreditation and report to compliance any non-conformities
* Ad hoc administration duties
* Covering other administrative roles for holidays/sickness/during busy periods
* Answering telephones
Key competencies and skills
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar role and previous experience within the construction industry would be an advantage
* Keen to learn, attend training and gather knowledge relating to the fire protection industry
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook
* Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail and be forward thinking
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and telephone skills
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
* Experience in the following software would be a huge advantage; simPRO and Bolster, although training can be provided
* Be able to work in a team and also be able to work independently and take responsibility for own tasks and role
* Calm under pressure and able to assess and prioritise workload in a deadline orientated environment, with a strong capability to problem solve
Job Type: Full time
Salary: £30,000 to £32,000 depending on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Location: Fully office based, SS14 3BL
