We are working with a client who is looking to add an experienced Technical Draughtsperson (CAD Technician / Design Drafter) to their growing design team in Glasgow.
This is an opportunity for a highly skilled individual who is confident using AutoCAD and Revit, with a proven ability to deliver accurate, construction-ready drawings and specifications across all stages of the project lifecycle from tender through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

Produce accurate and fully coordinated construction drawings, technical details, and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.

Review and comment on structural steelwork designs, ensuring buildability and alignment with architectural intent.
*
Collaborate with design, engineering, and site teams to reflect real-world constraints and sequencing.
*
Maintain drawing standards and ensure compliance with Main Contractor BIM protocols and CDE workflows.
*
Provide technical input and drawing packages for tender submissions.
*
Track and manage drawing revisions, RFIs, and redline markups throughout the project lifecycle.
*
Attend coordination meetings and contribute to clash detection and resolution processes.
*
Ensure all documentation complies with project specifications, deadlines, and regulatory requirements.
*
Day-to-day production of construction drawings, interpreting specifications, and managing your own workload effectively.
*
Understand the role of a sub-contractor within the design process for D&B contracts and manage incoming/outgoing drawings.
About The Candidate
*
Proven experience in a construction draughting role with strong draughtsperson background.
*
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
*
Strong understanding of structural steelwork and its integration with architectural and MEP systems.
*
Familiarity with BIM protocols and CDE platforms (e.g., BIM 360, Aconex, Viewpoint).
*
Thorough knowledge of UK construction standards, detailing conventions, and building regulations.
*
Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
*
Ability to work independently and manage multiple drawing packages under tight deadlines.
