Job Title: Veterinary Anaesthetist Location: Northwest Veterinary Specialists, Runcorn Job Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract Hours: 36 hours per week with one night per week on call and a share of the weekend on call rota An exciting opportunity has arisen for a board-certified or residency-trained anaesthetist to join our amazing team on a 1-year fixed term contract with a likely possibility to extend to a permanent contract. We are a friendly, collaborative and experienced anaesthesia team consisting of 3 anaesthetists (2 ECVAA diplomates and 1 residency trained board eligible anaesthetists) and one VTS anaesthesia nurse. Commitment to training – We run European-approved residency programmes in small animal surgery, neurology, internal medicine and oncology. State-of-the-art facilities – Imaging includes digital radiography, fluoroscopy (C-arm with subtraction and road-mapping), ultrasonography and a high-field 1.5T MRI and CT. Inpatients are supported 24/7 by dedicated RVNs and veterinary interns. Work closely with other referral centres in our group to facilitate clinical research and access to shared expertise. Accessible location – An easy commute from Chester, Liverpool, North Wales and Manchester, with excellent transport links, airports, and access to beautiful national parks, forests, and mountains.
