Key Responsibilities:
* Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements (including software licensing, SaaS, NDAs, partnership and procurement agreements).
* Provide legal support on corporate matters, including share purchase agreements, company structuring, and due diligence during M&A activity.
* Advise on IP, data protection (GDPR), and technology-related legal issues.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders including IT, product, marketing, and compliance teams.
* Help design and improve legal workflows using tech tools (e.g. contract management systems, collaboration platforms).
* Assist with policy drafting, training, and delivering legal updates to non-legal stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions (including UK and EU data privacy standards).
Requirements:
* Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent), with at least 7+ years’ PQE in corporate and commercial law.
* Previous in-house legal experience preferred, especially within the technology or innovation sector.
* Strong understanding of IP, data protection, and commercial tech agreements (e.g. SaaS, software licensing).
* Confident in advising senior stakeholders and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Comfortable working remotely, using collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, DocuSign, and contract lifecycle management platforms.
* Experience working on M&A transactions and due diligence processes is highly desirable.
* A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with excellent communication skills.
