SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant

We’re currently seeking a caring, patient, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a young child with complex needs in a nurturing primary school in the Coleford area.
About the Role
In this rewarding position, you’ll work closely with a pupil who requires individualised support to help them thrive both academically and emotionally. You’ll play an essential role in promoting positive behaviour, building confidence, and fostering a supportive environment where learning feels achievable and enjoyable.
This role would suit someone with experience in SEN or SEMH support, pastoral care, or behavioural management, who is ready to make a lasting impact in a child’s education journey.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience supporting children with SEN and/or SEMH needs
* A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
* Strong understanding of behavioural management strategies
* Compassion, flexibility, and a proactive mindset
* Knowledge of SEND interventions or support programmes
* A genuine passion for helping every child achieve their potential
* The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
