Dual Registered Manager
Service: Residential Childcare & Supported Accommodation
Location: Gloucester, GL1
Salary: £60,000
We’re hiring a Registered Manager to lead two specialist services in Gloucestershire: one residential and one supported accommodation setting. Both are furnished & renovated to a high standard, designed to give young people a positive, nurturing start. This is a growing provider with strong results already. The first children’s home was rated Good, and the supported accommodation achieved an Outcome 1 rating, one of the few providers nationwide to do so. You’ll be working alongside a hands-on Operations Director/RI, collaborating with colleagues across therapy, housing and care sectors and supported to grow into a Responsible Individual role.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading both services day-to-day: operational delivery, safeguarding, inspections, care planning
* Driving trauma-informed, responsive support in line with Ofsted and regulatory frameworks
* Recruiting, training, supervising and managing high-performing staff teams
* Ensuring compliance: risk assessments, policy updates, Regulation 45 reports, health & safety, GDPR
* Acting as Senior DSL, overseeing safeguarding strategy and statutory cases
* Running on-call cover, including evenings, weekends and wake‑night rotas
* Building relationships with key partners; local authority, healthcare, education and community
What we’re looking for:
* 3+ years of recent leadership experience within children’s residential or supported accommodation settings
* Level 5 Award in Leadership (Children, Young People & Families) essential
* Deep understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted frameworks
* Proven experience in staff development, performance management and operational leadership
* Strong safeguarding and risk management knowledge
* Collaborative and creative, ready to challenge the landscape of children’s homes
* Resilient, adaptable and able to manage crisis effectively
* UK manual driving licence and willingness to be flexible, including emergencies
