Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced vehicle painter & prepper to join our growing body shop in Aylesbury. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying coatings to various structures and surfaces. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with both hand and power tools while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Prepare surfaces for painting including sanding, priming and masking.
* Mix paints and other materials according to specifications.
* Applying paint to achieve a flawless finish.
* Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard of quality and in accordance with project specifications.
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, performing basic maintenance as needed.
* Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment while handling hazardous materials.
* Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively regarding project progress and any issues that may arise.
* Quality check on completion ensuring there are no defects.
Experience
* Minimum 6 years of experience in vehicle painting and preparation.
* Strong knowledge of paint mixing, application techniques, and finishing processes.
* Experience with different paints and specialist tinters.
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
* You will work to a high standard and demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.
