Vehicle Technician / LCV Technician – Runcorn
1. Salary: £36,500 basic + bonus (OTE £42,500)
2. Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:30pm, plus Saturday mornings on a rota
Our client is a leading national vehicle rental business with over 35 years of experience, specialising in B2B fleet management and private hire rentals. The workshop is fully equipped and works on a wide range of vehicles, including Mercedes, Ford, Peugeot, Vauxhall, and electric vehicles. Continuous training and career development opportunities are provided to help you grow as a technician.
Key Responsibilities as a Vehicle Technician:
3. Carry out maintenance, servicing, and warranty work on a fleet of approximately 3,000 vehicles, including vans, light commercial vehicles, and cars.
4. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge.
5. Perform repairs, replace parts, and carry out preventive maintenance.
6. Prepare vehicles for MOTs and ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
7. Work efficiently to return customer vehicles to service promptly, supporting operational commitments.
Skills and Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
8. Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, ideally with experience on LCVs and vans.
9. Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
10. Ability to work with a variety of vehicle brands, including electric and hybrid vehicles.
11. UK driving licence with minimal points.
12. Committed, reliable, and able to work as part of a team.
