My Client is recruiting for Mechanical/Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer in the Water Sector.
My Client is looking to strengthen their engineering team with a Mechanical, Senior, and/or Principal Mechanical Engineer based at their Bristol offices, with hybrid working available.
You will report directly to the Regional Discipline Lead. Your role will be to provide high-quality Engineering Design services to minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts. This involves coordinating the design and producing design documents and drawings, considering health and safety, specifications, and standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Producing cost-effective design layouts that meet specifications and can be effectively constructed and commissioned, considering all associated costs.
* Utilizing standard practices whenever possible.
* Providing estimates and feedback for proposals.
* Developing and monitoring procedures and processes to improve departmental efficiency.
* Coordinating designs with all disciplines to ensure integrated contract execution.
* Maintaining files and records throughout contracts.
* Ensuring customer satisfaction and a safe working environment.
* Minimizing waste and considering environmental issues in designs.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Experience in delivering process plant systems on complex water industry projects.
* Strong understanding of water and sewage treatment principles.
* Experience managing staff in water and sewage treatment plant design.
* Membership of a professional institution / chartered status.
* Ability to rationalize designs and produce economical plant layouts.
* Good knowledge of water treatment aspects, including mechanical, process, electrical engineering, and project management.
* Flexible mindset capable of handling large data sets.
* Ability to present technical proposals clearly and confidently.
* Experience with digital design in design and construct projects.
* Driving license required.
