Job Opportunity: Leakage Engineers in Wales
RPS is seeking Experienced and Trainee Leakage Engineers to join our Water Operations Division in West Wales. Our Leakage Engineers are central to our strategic goals — delivering excellent client service and managing complex operational tasks. This is a permanent, full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 15:30, with overtime, bonuses, benefits, and a real living wage. A company van will be provided.

Responsibilities
This entry-level role offers full training and mentorship. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will:
* Assess, diagnose, and implement solutions to reduce leakage, supporting regulatory targets and providing excellent service
* Maintain health and safety standards
* Meet KPI targets for leakage detection and reduction within DMA zones
* Assist in leak location during excavations
* Train and mentor assistant leakage technicians
* Handle administrative tasks such as submitting electronic timesheets, vehicle checks, and defect reports
* Build strong relationships with colleagues, contractors, and clients
Candidate Profile
* Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not required; training will be provided
* Willingness to learn utility tracing, noise logging, step-testing, and data collection techniques
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with attention to detail
* Team-oriented with good communication skills
* Customer-focused with strong relationship-building abilities
* Valid UK or Irish driving license
