Driver Hire Southampton is currently recruiting Class 2 HIAB Drivers to work with our clients in thebuilders’ merchant sector. We have opportunities available for drivers looking for full-time, part-time, or ad-hoc work.
About the Role:
1. Monday to Friday work with occasional Saturdays
2. 7:00am start time
3. Typical shifts of 8–10 hours
4. Multi-drop deliveries of builders’ merchant materials
5. Deliveries to residential properties and construction sites across Southampton and surrounding areas
6. Ensuring delivery paperwork is completed accurately
7. Some manual handling and heavy lifting may be required
Driver Requirements:
8. Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
9. CPC and Digi Tacho card
10. Valid HIAB certificate (brick grab)
11. 6 months Class 2 driving experience preferred, although newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply
12. Multi-drop delivery experience beneficial
13. Own transport required due to varying client locations
14. Strong timekeeping and communication skills
15. Professional approach with excellent customer service
16. Ability to followhealth and safety procedures
