If you’re already work in the sector, you’ll know I’m not talking about a wall covered in party pictures. Party walls are in integral of millions of homes and businesses in the UK, and the need to ensure any works carried out are compliant is key.
Our client operates as the largest team of Chartered Surveyors in their region, and they are now looking a new Assistant Party Wall Surveyor to the join the team. Historically, many surveyors have been known to work alone, but this is an opportunity to be part of a team, all working together to provide a high-level of service to growing and well-respected client base. Regulated by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors, our client is recognised as a key player in the industry.
Based in Hertfordshire, you will be working alongside the Director and will be responsible for preparing and serving party wall notices, taking schedules of condition and the making, and serving of party wall awards. This is full-time, office-based position, but a large proportion of your time will be spent with clients on-site. You will need to be an Associate of RICS and/or a member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors with 2-years of experience in the same field.
Our client places huge emphasis on life-long learning and meet twice a month to share information on values, changes in the law, new building techniques, materials and to discuss those tricky cases.
From a salary perspective, my client is offering £32,500 as a basic salary, with an additional £4000 car allowance and 16p per mile for business related journeys. There is also a 10% commission payment available and £1000 towards the cost of RICS membership.
