Lead the UK indirect sourcing strategy across multiple sites to deliver measurable improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance. Manage a team of sourcing professionals, standardise processes, and build strategic supplier partnerships to support operational readiness and growth.
Lead Strategy & Execution
* Develop and execute a UK indirect sourcing strategy aligned to business goals.
* Own annual pipeline and savings plan with clear targets for cost, quality, delivery, and cash.
* Harmonise category strategies across multiple UK sites and leverage scale.
Team Leadership & Development
* Manage, coach, and develop a high‑performing sourcing team with clear objectives and standard work.
* Build capability in category management, negotiation, supplier management, and data analytics.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
Supplier & Category Management
* Lead competitive sourcing events (RFPs, eAuctions), negotiations, and contract execution.
* Build strategic supplier partnerships and drive supplier performance management (SLAs, KPIs).
* Ensure resilience through dual sourcing and risk mitigation plans.
Operational Excellence & Governance
* Standardise and improve P2P processes, cycle times, and compliance across sites.
* Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and realised savings validation.
* Ensure compliance with company policy, ethics, EHS, and applicable UK/EU regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Serve as the primary point of contact for UK site leaders on indirect categories.
* Translate site needs into category strategies; balance standardisation with local requirements.
* Communicate progress via monthly ops reviews and dashboards.
Risk, Quality, and Sustainability
* Proactively manage supply risk, continuity, and quality for critical services.
* Drive sustainability goals (e.g. emissions, waste, responsible sourcing) in supplier selection and performance.
* Lead corrective actions for supplier issues affecting safety, quality, or operations.
Required Qualifications
* Experience in the sourcing and sourcing management domain.
* Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance required and must be maintained.
Desired Characteristics
* CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent professional certification.
* Experience in aerospace, industrials, or regulated environments.
* Lean/continuous improvement experience; track record of standardising processes across sites.
* Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and supplier diversity programmes.
Requires travel to different GE Aerospace sites in the UK on a monthly basis.
