About WESTMARC
WESTMARC offers rehabilitation technology services across the West of Scotland, covering six Health Boards from Oban to Dumfries, Falkirk, and the Inner Hebrides. Serving over 52% of the Scottish population (~2.6 million), it manages the largest caseload among Scottish rehabilitation technology centres.
Role Responsibilities
1. Work as part of a team delivering wheelchairs and accessories, including collection of used equipment.
2. Replace basic components such as footrests, armrests, and quick-release wheels.
3. Tighten fasteners including screws, nuts, and bolts as needed.
4. Undertake in-house training on wheelchair adjustments, basic parts replacement, and power chair control systems.
Candidate Requirements
* Clean UK driving license.
* Experience with small hand tools.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Basic computing skills, including email usage on mobile devices.
* Knowledge of moving & handling, and health and safety would be desirable.
