Are you a driven sales professional who thrives on building relationships, securing exciting contracts and turning great ideas into real outdoor play spaces?

We’re looking for a Playground Sales Consultant to join our team, specialising in the design and supply of bespoke children’s play equipment for schools, nurseries, parks, local authorities and commercial sites.

At Precision Timber, we are a family-run business specialising in designing and building natural playgrounds and sustainable outdoor equipment. We create unique outdoor spaces where children can explore, be imaginative and flourish, because every child deserves the chance to play.


The Role:

As the Sales Consultant, you will be the face of our company to clients and prospects. Working from site visits through to proposals and client handover, you’ll build long‑lasting relationships and help bring our playful, high‑quality products to life.

You’ll be comfortable meeting decision‑makers (schools, local authorities, leisure sites), matching client needs with creative playground solutions, and collaborating with our design and project teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

* Generate and follow up leads, arrange site visits, understand client requirements and the context of each project.
* Create detailed quotations and proposals, working closely with design and operations teams.
* Manage the sales process from enquiry to handover, ensuring smooth transition to project team.
* Meet and exceed sales targets (volume and value) and monitor results, providing regular performance reporting.
* Keep up‑to‑date with industry trends, competitor activity and new product innovations in playground equipment/surfacing.
* Maintain a strong pipeline and manage key client relationships to drive repeat business and long‑term growth.


Skills & Experience Required:

* Proven experience in sales (preferably B2B or in the construction/outdoor equipment industry).
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
* Strong self‑motivation, resilience and ability to work independently with high energy.
* Confidence reading and understanding technical/project drawings and specifications.
* Proficiency in IT (CRM tools, Word, Excel).
* A full UK driving licence is essential as travel to client sites will be required.
