Residential Practice Development Lead - Children's Homes - Channel Islands
Contract: 6 months | Hours: Full-time, 37 hours/week (Monday to Friday)Rate: £48p/hr - £52.50p/hrLocation: Channel Islands - on-island only (no remote working)Start:Immediate

Join our team on this beautiful island as a Residential Practice Development Lead and play a vital role in shaping and improving the care we provide for children and young people in our residential homes.
The Role
As Practice Development Lead, you will:
Lead the development and implementation of outstanding care and support practiceEquip staff with the skills and confidence to deliver trauma-informed, relational, and child-centered careWork closely with managers and frontline teams to meet the emotional, social, and developmental needs of children in our homesCoach and mentor staff, lead training workshops, and embed a learning culture aligned with our restorative and child-rights-based practice modelDrive quality assurance and improvement work, closing the loop on feedback and audits
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with at least 5 years' experience in statutory social work
Significant experience working with:
Children and families in need and child protectionLooked after children and care proceedingsResidential settings and/or children's homes
Proven ability to:
Deliver workshops, coaching and mentoringLead or support service improvement and practice developmentQuickly build strong working relationships with staff and young people
Enhanced DBS (preferably on the update service)
Registered with Social Work England
Driver's licence and right to work in the UK
Available to live and work full-time on the Island for the full duration of the contract
