As a Registered Nurse working in the Gynaecology Clinic and Early Pregnancy Unit within Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, you will be enthusiastic about women’s health, with the vision and passion to optimise high-quality patient care.
The early pregnancy department is busy managing women in the early stages of pregnancy, including pregnancy loss. There are also a variety of Gynaecology clinics running, such as:
* MIT; performing hysteroscopies and other minor treatments
* Colposcopy clinics; run by the specialist nurse or doctors
* General gynaecology clinics
* Urogynaecology/pessary clinics; as a nurse-led service
* Post-menopausal bleed clinics; run by our specialist nurses or doctors
* Gynaecology oncology service; working with our cancer nurse specialist nurses
You will need to adapt to the many varying clinics within the department and enjoy working within an evolving service. There will be an expectation that you support learners within the department. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary, professional team to assess care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care, and possess excellent communication skills.
