Salary: £95 - £145 per day (Depending on experience)

Role Overview
Are you a resilient, adaptable professional looking to make a genuine impact on the lives of vulnerable young people? We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join a dedicated team at a leading Alternative Provision in Accrington.
In this role, you won't just be "subbing in." You will be providing stability and support for students who have faced barriers to learning in mainstream settings. You will lead classrooms, manage behaviour with a restorative approach, and ensure that every student remains engaged and supported even when their regular teacher is absent.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise Classes: Lead learning activities for students aged 11-16 across various subjects.
Behaviour Management: Use de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement to maintain a calm, productive environment.
Student Support: Build strong, professional rapport with students who may have SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.
Collaboration: Work closely with Teaching Assistants and the SENCO to implement individual education plans.
Safeguarding: Maintain a high standard of student welfare in line with school policies.What We're Looking For
Experience: Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Sports Coach, Youth Worker, or Teaching Assistant is highly desirable.
Character: A "thick skin," a sense of humour, and a calm-under-pressure personality.
Communication: The ability to communicate clearly and set firm but fair boundaries.
