Role Overview
The Bar Supervisor leads bar operations and supports floor service, ensuring consistency, quality and team performance.
You are responsible for delivering high standards across food and drinks, service and compliance while motivating the team.
Key Responsibilities
Bar Operations
* Oversee day-to-day bar service
* Ensure cocktails are made to spec
* Maintain stock control and ordering
* Monitor GP margins and reduce waste
* Ensure consistent drink presentation
Leadership
* Supervise and support bar staff
* Train new team members
* Lead by example during busy service
* Maintain a positive and professional culture
Compliance & Standards
* Ensure licensing laws are followed
* Oversee age verification procedures
* Maintain hygiene standards
* Complete daily checklists and closing procedures
* Ensure FIFO and stock rotation are followed
Service & Sales
* Upsell premium drinks confidently
* Support menu development
* Assist with seasonal cocktail creation
* Handle guest complaints professionally
Skills & Experience
* Previous bar leadership experience
* Strong cocktail knowledge
* Good understanding of stock control & GP
* Confident decision-maker
* Strong organisational skills
