Tenure: Full-Time & Part-Time Shifts: Day Shifts, Waking Night Shifts and Sleeping Night Shifts are available Location: Beechwood House, Therapeutic Children’s Home. near Frinton-on-Sea Make Every Day Matter. At Beechwood House, we don’t just provide care - we restore safety, trust, and hope. Our children and young people (aged 8–17) have experienced trauma, instability, and loss. They need consistent, emotionally available adults who are calm in chaos, compassionate during conflict, and dedicated to long-term change. Salary & Rewards We believe in rewarding commitment, qualifications and therapeutic skill. Support Worker (Unqualified): £27,000 – £29,500 per annum Support Worker (Level 3 Qualified): £30,000 – £31,500 per annum Senior Support Worker (progression opportunity): £31,000 – £34,000 per annum Additional Payments: • £50 per sleep-in shift • Overtime opportunities available • Funded qualifications and clear pay progression linked to development Why Join Beechwood House? Our aim is to help children develop the skills, resilience, and emotional safety they need to flourish. The Role – What You’ll Be Doing • Provide high-quality, consistent care to children and young people. • Build trusted, meaningful relationships that foster emotional safety. • Support children in regulating their emotions and developing coping strategies. • Implement personalised care and therapeutic plans. • Promote education, health, independence, and positive life skills. • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. • Keep accurate records and contribute to care planning. • Create a warm, structured, family-style home environment. Who We’re Looking For • Compassionate, patient, and emotionally intelligent individuals • Ability to stay calm under pressure • Strong communication skills and natural warmth • Understanding of trauma-informed care (or willingness to learn) • Reflective and receptive to professional development • Experience with children and young people (desirable but not essential) • Willing to work towards NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare if not already qualified Training & Development • Full therapeutic and trauma-informed care training • Safeguarding and behaviour support training • Ongoing professional development • Professional development, including Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare, Level 4 Residential Childcare Practitioner, Level 3 and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare • Clear progression pathways (Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, Deputy Manager) What We Offer • Competitive salary (dependent on experience) • Enhanced rates for night shifts • Pension scheme • Ongoing funded training and qualifications • Supportive and reflective supervision • A genuinely supportive, values-driven team culture Ready to Join Us?
