Job Description
Our client, a renowned talent entertainment agency, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their dynamic finance team. This pivotal role will oversee financial operations across multiple companies within the group. The position is based in Central London, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Working within the finance team to contribute to the successful running of the finance department.
· Acting as a client-facing representative for finance matters.
· Liaising regularly with agents, clients, and other stakeholders.
· Working alongside the Senior Finance Manager and reporting to External Accountants / Managing Directors.
· Allocating client payments daily and reconciling client accounts, including royalty statements.
· Preparing and executing weekly client pay runs through Tagmin Software.
· Creating client/commission invoices and weekly VAT invoices.
· Reconciling and accounting for quarterly royalties.
· Chasing invoices from company debtors.
· Liaising with clients, client accountants, production companies, broadcasters, record labels, music publishers, and HMRC.
· Completing supplier/payroll setups, including client VAT self-billing.
· Processing day-to-day bookkeeping via Xero.
· Liaising with suppliers regarding office purchase invoices and processing through Dext.
· Preparing quarterly VAT returns and assisting with quarterly management accounts.
· Preparing staff monthly payroll, including bonus and pension calculations.
· Producing monthly staff credit card analysis and reconciliations with Dext.
· Producing analysis for intercompany recharging.
· Supporting forecasting activities.
· Performing other ad hoc financial and administrative duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the finance department.
Requirements:
· Possess substantial client-facing accounting experience.
· Holding a minimum of AAT qualification or equivalent.
· Competency using Xero.
· Familiarity with Tagmin is desirable (training provided if necessary).
· Confident working in a pressured environment and meeting strict deadlines.
· Strong interpersonal skills and confident communication abilities.
· Applying excellent attention to detail and sound understanding of accounting principles.
· Contributing proactively and collaboratively to the finance team.
· Valuing transparency, accountability, and integrity in all work.
· Music / entertainment industry experience is preferred.
