The role

As Healthcare Customer Segment Marketing Business Partner / Manager here at Illumina in the UK, Ireland & North region, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategicmarketing initiatives across healthcare customer segments. This individual contributor role sits within a highly matrixed, cross-functional organization and offers high visibility across commercial, product, and regional marketing teams. You will be responsible for developing and executing sub-regional marketing strategies that align with business goals and deliver measurable growth in the healthcare segment.

You are a dynamic, strategic and creative marketer with deep expertise in healthcare marketing and a passion for driving impactful campaigns. With significant experience in marketing, particularly within healthcare, you bring a strong understanding of customersegmentation, branding, content strategy, and digital engagement. You thrive in complex, matrixed environments and are skilled at influencing without authority. Your analytical mindset and collaborative approach enable you to develop and execute marketing plans that deliver real business outcomes.

You hold a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, and you’re proficient in the full marketing mix, including VOC/VOS, multi-channel lead generation, and performance tracking. You’re intellectually curious, highly organized, and unafraid to dive into data to optimize campaign performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Marketing Planning

2. Develop multi-channel marketing strategies tailored to healthcare customer segments across UKI and North

3. Conduct competitor analysis and market trend assessments to inform tactical programs

4. Collaborate with sales leaders to align portfolio strategy with customer needs

5. Campaign Execution & Engagement

6. Partner with omnichannel and product marketing teams to deploy strategies

7. Plan and manage impactful in-person and digital events

8. Create customer-focused content and collateral for targeted outreach

9. Budget & Performance Management

10. Own and manage the customer segment marketing budget

11. Track and report on campaign performance, lead generation, and ROI

12. Evaluate and optimize omni-channel marketing programs

13. Cross-Functional Collaboration

14. Align with sales, product, and regional marketing teams on launches and initiatives

15. Work with campaign managers to refine engagement strategies using platforms like LinkedIn and ResearchGate

16. Support sales enablement through tools and training

17. Market Insights & Enablement

18. Drive messaging and tools for Biotech and Pharma customers

19. Collaborate with market analysts on research programs

20. Provide regular training and insights to sales teams
