The Office of the Traffic Commissioner (OTC) plays a vital role in regulating lorry, bus, and coach operators, and their drivers across Great Britain and Northern Ireland. As an OTC Administrative Officer, you’ll be at the heart of this mission—reviewing applications, analysing cases, and preparing evidence for key regulatory decisions. Top Responsibilities
* Identify, analyse and collate all relevant information to draft the following on behalf of the TCs, or to enable them to consider what action to take:
* Public Inquiry case submissions, call up letters, briefs and appeals
* Disciplinary case submissions
* Decision outcomes
* Act as the first point of contact for customer/operator enquiries offering advice and assistance where possible.
* Perform the function of clerk at the public inquiry, this includes creating an official record of the inquiry.
* Compile statements in response to requests from enforcement organisations through interrogating and extracting the appropriate information from our data systems.
* Ensure a comprehensive and accurate electronic (and where appropriate paper) record exists for all cases and ensuring that data is stored, distributed and destroyed correctly and in accordance with the information governance framework document.
* Deal with telephone and written enquiries in a positive manner considering the data protection legislation, delegated authority and the statutory guidance and directions.

About you
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:

* Ability to gather and analyse information and summarise the relevant points
* Ability to organise work to deadlines and agreed standards
* Experience of using Microsoft Office, such as Word and Excel
