Role: Strategic Partnerships Consultant
Location: Home-based with weekly travel to Gloucestershire office (UK-wide field-based, full UK driving licence required)
Salary: £60,000 + discretionary bonus + benefits

Our client, a leading IT authority is hiring a Strategic Partnerships Consultant to drive new business growth and build long-term client relationships across their sector. This role offers the opportunity to shape a growing sales function, working closely with the senior leadership team to win high-value IT solutions and services contracts.
What you’ll do
Work with the COO and senior leadership to identify, target and win new clients
Generate new-business opportunities via phone, email, LinkedIn and in-person meetings
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of projects and recurring revenue opportunities
Re-engage dormant accounts and promote new offerings throughout the year
Follow up on targeted marketing and vendor-led campaigns to convert interest into qualified opportunities
Keep CRM and PSA systems fully up to date, providing accurate monthly forecasts
Create structured account plans, IT roadmaps and detailed proposals for prospective clients
Lead a consultative sales process from discovery through to close, before handing accounts to the account management team
Collaborate with in-house and vendor pre-sales to scope, design and cost solutions
Attend and exhibit at relevant industry events, building brand presence and authority in the space
You’ll work closely with the principals of the business, marketing, pre-sales and operations teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience throughout the sales cycle.
What we’re looking for
Minimum 7 years’ experience in IT solutions or technical managed services sales
Proven track record of generating, managing, negotiating and closing complex opportunities
Excellent telephone, written and face-to-face communication skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities
Experience working within a recognised, structured sales methodology (e.g. consultative, SPIN-style or similar)
Impeccable commercial awareness and ability to structure and articulate complex solutions clearly
Comfortable and confident with sustained outbound activity (cold and warm calling)
Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle during the working week and willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays
