A nurturing and inclusive independent school near Glastonbury is looking to appoint a Food and Nutrition Teacher to join its Design & Lifestyle Faculty from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role delivering a curriculum that integrates practical cooking, nutritional education, and food sustainability.
The school is committed to helping students develop essential life skills and creativity through food. You'll teach across KS3–GCSE, lead hands-on classes, and guide student-led projects such as catering for events or designing healthy menus. Experience with BTEC Hospitality or GCSE Food Prep & Nutrition would be an advantage.
Qualifications

Relevant degree in Food, Nutrition, or Culinary Science

QTS and experience in teaching Food Technology or Hospitality

Excellent classroom management and practical lesson planning

Knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and dietary education
