Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our small team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our patients. This position requires excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as a passion for patient care.
You will be responsible for managing patient appointments, handling inquiries, providing administrative support within the dental practice, chairside nursing, charting and decontamination duties.
Our practice has two recently renovated surgeries and parking is available on site. We offer additional holidays and sick pay.
We are a family friendly practice and can be flexible with days and times.
Days: Monday-Friday (4 or 5 days)
Pay: Depending on experience
Responsibilities
* Greet patients warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service
* Keep up to date with CPD, GDC registration and immunizations
* Set up and tidy down surgery
* Keep surgery draws stocked and tidy
* Chairside assistance and charting
* Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring efficient use of the dentist's time
* Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations
* Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly, addressing patient queries effectively
* Assist with billing and insurance claims processing as needed
* Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the practice
* Maintain an organised working area, ensuring it is tidy and welcoming at all times
* Utilise IT systems for scheduling, record keeping, and communication purposes
Qualifications
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
* GDC registered Dental Nurse is essential
* We will consider a trainee dental nurse on a training course with experience
* A commitment to providing outstanding patient care and support
