Job overview
An exciting opportunity has emerged within the Cardiovascular Rehabilitation service in Salford for a registered nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. This is a chance for a skilled nurse to develop into a cardiac rehabilitation specialist nurse.
You will receive support to develop competencies such as patient assessments, medication reviews, education, and collaboration with exercise specialists to deliver personalized exercise programs.

This community-based role involves travel across Salford, including the acute care site.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will assess and manage patients with cardiovascular disease (CVD). As part of the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to inpatient visits, clinical assessments, home visits, support CVR classes, and manage ongoing patient care. You will also participate in service development and research activities to improve care quality.

Professional Registration
1. Current NMC Registration RGN
Qualifications
2. Registered General Nurse
3. First Degree or Nursing Diploma or equivalent
4. Post-registration experience in cardiology or cardiovascular rehab
Desirable criteria
5. Postgraduate training or teaching qualification
6. Extended nurse prescribing qualification
7. Masters in a relevant field
Knowledge, Training & Experience
8. Specialist knowledge of CVR/CVD legislation and patient management
9. Ability to analyze complex situations and recommend actions
10. Effective team member with tact and diplomacy
11. Experience in teaching, mentoring, and audits
12. Proficient with clinical systems and computer literacy
Skills & Abilities
13. Good computer skills (Word, Outlook)
14. Excellent verbal and written communication
15. Organizational skills, time management, delegation, prioritization
16. Ability to work independently with support
17. Clear presentation of information
18. Willingness to travel across the Trust
Desirable criteria
19. Full UK driving license and own vehicle for work
