Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals and families facing various challenges. This role involves assessing client needs, developing intervention plans, and connecting clients with appropriate resources. The Social Worker will also play a key role in supervising and mentoring junior staff, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained.
Responsibilities
* Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop tailored intervention plans.
* Provide counselling and support to clients, helping them navigate personal challenges.
* Facilitate access to community resources, services, and support networks.
* Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress in accordance with organisational policies.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
* Supervise and mentor junior social work staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
* Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge within the field.
Experience
* A degree in Social Work or a related field is essential.
* Previous experience in a social work setting is highly desirable.
* Proven skills in supervising and mentoring staff members.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being able to work independently when required.
* A thorough understanding of relevant legislation and best practices in social work is advantageous.
