1. Duties and Responsibilities:
o Auditing and Verifying Records: Payroll Officers audit and verify timekeeping records to ensure accurate payment.
o Managing Deductions and Overtime: They handle deductions, overtime, and other payroll-related adjustments.
o Compliance with Local Laws: Payroll Officers ensure that salary payments comply with local legal requirements.
o Recording Employee Hours: They keep accurate records of employee work hours.
o Processing Salary Adjustments: Calculating overtime, salary increases, and shift payments.
o Handling Leave Payments: Processing holiday, sick, and maternity pay.
o Issuing Tax Forms: Providing necessary tax forms like P45s.
o Answering Payroll Queries: Addressing employee queries related to pay.
2. Qualifications:
o End-to-End Payroll Experience: Proficiency in managing the entire payroll process.
o Umbrella Payroll Experience: Familiarity with umbrella payroll systems.
o Supervisory Skills: Desirable for handling payroll teams.
o Knowledge of UK Payroll Legislation: Understanding of relevant laws.
o Manual Calculation Abilities: Ability to manually calculate payments and statutory deductions.
