Assistant Centre Manager Required in Erdington

3. Salary up to £33,000 per year (DOE) + Uncapped Bonus
4. Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm, half-day Saturday
5. Holidays: 30 days including bank holidays
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Centre Manager to join a well-established automotive service centre in Erdington. This role is perfect for someone with a strong mechanical background, supervisory experience, and a customer-first mindset looking to take the next step in their career.
Your duties as an Assistant Centre Manager will include the following:
6. Leading and supporting a small team to deliver excellent customer service
7. Assisting in the day-to-day running of the service centre alongside the Centre Manager
8. Carrying out MOT inspections and overseeing vehicle repairs and servicing
9. Driving business performance by maximising sales, margins, and customer satisfaction
10. Managing stock levels, merchandising, and workshop planning
11. Handling customer interactions both proactively and professionally
12. Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
13. Supporting administrative duties and other operational tasks as required
What You’ll Need for this Assistant Centre Manager position:
14. Ideally, have an MOT certification (Class 4 or higher)
15. Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on workshop experience
16. Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or team lead role
17. A customer-focused attitude with a drive to exceed expectations
18. Strong communication and leadership skills
19. Experience in a fast-fit centre or main dealer environment is highly desirable
