Your Role:
As our Oncology Pharmacist, you will:
Lead and deliver a specialist oncology pharmacy service across the hospital
Provide expert clinical advice to consultants, clinicians, and patients
Ensure the safe, compliant, and cost-effective use of medicines
Support and influence evidence-based clinical decision making
Oversee and optimise chemotherapy services and medication processes
Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
Drive service development, innovation, and quality improvement initiatives
Contribute to the commercial and strategic growth of oncology servicesWhat You'll Be Accountable For:
Delivering and evaluating high-quality pharmaceutical care for complex patients
Monitoring and optimising the use, movement, and management of medicines
Leading on governance, safety, and regulatory compliance
Managing resources, including stock control and budget oversight
Supporting and developing colleagues, sharing knowledge and best practice
Using data and insight to improve services and patient outcomesWho We're Looking For:
You'll be a confident, credible pharmacist with strong clinical and leadership capability:
Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Postgraduate qualification (or equivalent experience) in clinical pharmacy, ideally with an oncology focus
Proven experience delivering oncology pharmacy services
Strong understanding of chemotherapy and cancer treatment pathways
Experience working collaboratively with consultants and MDTs
Ability to challenge and influence clinical practice using evidence-based approaches
Previous leadership or supervisory experience
Commercial awareness, with an interest in service developmentExperience within the independent sector is beneficial, but not essential.
