Humanities Teacher – Day to Day Role - Halifax

We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Halifax who are excited to bring on a dynamic Humanities Teacher. This is more than a short-term placement, it’s your opportunity to settle into a thriving school, inspire curiosity and encourage students to see Humanities as a subject that helps them understand the world and their place within it.
What you’ll be doing
* Delivering engaging Humanities lessons across KS3 & KS4 (with KS5 optional)
* Making history, geography, and social studies relevant and exciting
* Encouraging students to think critically, debate ideas and develop their own perspectives
* Creating an inclusive, supportive classroom where every learner feels valued
* Monitoring progress and sharing feedback to help students thrive
What we’re looking for
* QTS (or equivalent) with a specialism in Humanities (History, Geography or similar)
* Strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to bring lessons to life
* A confident classroom presence with excellent behaviour management
* A genuine passion for inspiring young people to achieve their best

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
