Joinery Specialist – Sunderland (SR4 6SJ)
Salary: £13–£20 per hour (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Are you a skilled joiner with a passion for precision and craftsmanship? We’re looking for a Joinery Specialist to join a busy manufacturing team in Sunderland. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with detail and creating bespoke, design-led pieces.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Manufacturing bespoke joinery items with care and accuracy
2. Working from technical drawings to produce specialist features
3. Using workshop machinery including panel saws, chop saws, routers, and spindle moulders
4. Working with materials such as MFC, MDF, and specialist veneers
5. Taking ownership of quality, checking your work and supporting colleagues
6. Collaborating across the workshop to ensure smooth workflow and delivery
7. Supporting other departments as required
What we’re looking for:
8. Proven experience in joinery or furniture manufacturing, ideally in a high-end or bespoke setting
9. Confidence using workshop machinery (panel saw, router, spindle moulder, etc.)
10. Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
11. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
12. A proactive, problem-solving mindset and initiative
13. Reliable, flexible team player with a positive attitude
14. Experience in door manufacturing is a plus
