Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a Legal 500 law firm that is looking for a Conveyancer to join their team in Manchester.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manage a full caseload of residential (and potentially commercial) property transactions from instruction to post-completion with minimal supervision.Draft, review, and advise on legal documents including contracts, transfer deeds, and leasehold documentation.Conduct title checks, raise and respond to enquiries, and identify and resolve complex legal issues.Deal with freehold, leasehold, registered and unregistered titles, new builds, and shared ownership transactions.Carry out and review property searches and interpret the results.Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, other solicitors, and HM Land Registry.Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate:
Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive (CILEx), or equivalent legal qualification.Minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience handling a full range of residential property matters.Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently from instruction to post-completion.Strong knowledge of conveyancing law, procedures, and the Land Registry process.Familiarity with both freehold and leasehold transactions (including new builds, shared ownership, remortgages, and unregistered land).Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong client care focus.Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
