We require a skilled Calibration Field Engineer to join the team on a full-time basis, providing on-site and laboratory-based calibration support to clients across the South West. Calibration Field Engineer Responsibilities: Perform on-site and laboratory-based calibration of mechanical instruments, including torque wrenches, pressure gauges, micrometers, vernier callipers, dial indicators, and force measurement devices. Use precision calibration equipment and procedures to ensure measurement accuracy and compliance with UKAS / ISO 17025 standards. Interpret calibration certificates, test reports, and technical drawings to verify conformance to required tolerances. Record and maintain accurate calibration data using approved documentation and database systems. Provide detailed feedback on non-conformance findings, adjustments, or repairs required to meet specification. Prepare and issue calibration certificates in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards. Work closely with clients on-site to schedule, plan, and execute calibration activities efficiently, professionally, and impartially. Support continuous improvement initiatives in calibration methods, measurement uncertainty, and equipment maintenance. Comply with all company health, safety, and environmental policies while representing the business in the field. Maintain, transport, and safeguard calibration equipment, ensuring all tools remain in certified condition. Calibration Field Engineer Experience: Proven experience in mechanical calibration, dimensional inspection, or precision engineering (typically 2 years). Strong understanding of mechanical and dimensional measurement principles. Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and engineering drawings. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to measurement accuracy. Good IT skills and familiarity with calibration management systems or ERP databases. Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently in field environments. Strong communication and customer service skills for on-site client interactions.
