You’ll own day-to-day execution, coach engineers, and partner with stakeholders, working alongside a Principal Engineer who sets overall technical direction.Responsibilities:Lead day-to-day delivery for a small engineering team across multiple initiatives.Design, build, and maintain backend services in C#/.NET .Build and evolve frontend features using Angular and TypeScript .Write clean, testable, maintainable code and set a high bar for engineering quality.Champion strong development practices including code review, pair programming, and TDD .Operate and improve services hosted on AWS, including reliability and performance.Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.Translate requirements into clear technical tasks using a spec-driven approach.Mentor and line-manage engineers (~5), supporting growth and career development.Communicate progress, risks, and timelines clearly to product and business stakeholders.Requirements:7+ years’ professional software engineering experience.Strong, recent hands-on experience with C#/.NET .Strong, recent hands-on experience with Angular and TypeScript .Practical experience building and running workloads on AWS .Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern source control workflows (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins ).Comfortable with TDD, code review, and collaborative development practices.Proven experience leading, mentoring, or line-managing engineers.Strong delivery ownership: planning, prioritisation, and keeping work on track.Clear stakeholder communication, including progress updates and risk management.A pragmatic, early-adopter mindset toward AI-assisted development tools to improve quality and speed.We know your well-being and happiness are key to a long and successful career.
