Planner – Data Centres & Mission Critical Projects
Gerrards Cross (with project and site travel as required)
£70,000 – £75,000 per annum, Car allowance, Performance-related bonus, Pension, private healthcare and additional company benefits

Our client is a UK market-leading main contractor with a turnover in excess of £1bn, specialising in the delivery of large-scale data centre, mission-critical and complex industrial projects across the UK and Europe. The business is recognised for technical excellence, programme certainty and long-term relationships with blue-chip and hyperscale clients.
Role Overview:
The Planner will be responsible for the development, management and control of complex construction programmes for data centre and mission-critical industrial projects. Working closely with project, commercial and design teams, you will ensure programmes are robust, fully logic-linked and aligned with contractual and client requirements from pre-construction through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Development & Management:
* Develop, maintain and update detailed construction programmes from tender through delivery
* Produce fully logic-linked programmes incorporating design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover
* Ensure programmes reflect contract requirements, key milestones and phasing strategies
Pre-Construction & Tender Planning:
* Support bids and pre-construction with programme development, methodology input and risk analysis
* Contribute to construction sequencing, logistics strategies and resource planning
* Assist with value engineering and alternative programme options where required
Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
* Monitor progress against programme and identify delays, risks and opportunities
* Produce short-term look-ahead programmes and recovery schedules
* Prepare progress reports, dashboards and client-facing programme updates
Risk, Change & Claims Support:
* Support the identification and management of programme risk and mitigation strategies
* Assist with change management, EOT assessments and programme impact analysis
* Maintain accurate records to support contractual and commercial positions
Stakeholder Collaboration:
* Work closely with project managers, site teams, design managers and commercial teams
* Interface with clients, consultants and key supply chain partners
* Support collaborative planning workshops and programme reviews
