Overview
As a Senior Nuclear Facility Engineer, you'll help lead the safe, reliable and efficient operation of critical assets across our nuclear facilities. This is an opportunity to work at the heart of the UK's defence and engineering capability, where your expertise will directly support the Royal Navy's operational readiness. Day-to-day, you'll play a pivotal role in the operation and maintenance of site-based assets, ensuring they remain compliant, available and safe. You will develop experience across engineering, asset management, commissioning, testing and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
* Preparing, reviewing and authorising test documentation to required standards in alignment with outage and maintenance schedules.
* Carrying out inspection, testing, calibration and commissioning of systems and equipment, diagnosing faults and proposing corrective actions.
* Identifying and recording defects and emergent work to ensure issues are captured and resolved efficiently.
* Ensuring the safe operation of plant and processes while complying with Nuclear Site Licence and Modification Authorisation Conditions.
* Leading the day-to-day activities of electrical and mechanical commissioning engineers, supporting their ongoing development.
* This position involves working at height. Candidates must be able to work safely and perform tasks at varying heights.
* This role is full time, 35 hours per week, and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard. There is an opportunity for Optimised Working Patterns (OWP) within this role, subject to business needs.
Qualifications
* ONC or NVQ Level 4 (or above) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
