We are looking for a Vehicle Compound Operations Manager to join a large automotive client in Nottinghamshire. This is a senior leadership role, taking full responsibility for compound operations, including vehicle processing, inspections, and team performance across site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager looking to step into a high-impact role within a fast-paced, large-scale automotive environment.
The Role:
1. Take full ownership of day-to-day compound operations, including PDI, inspections, and vehicle movements.
2. Lead, motivate, and develop teams to drive high performance and productivity.
3. Plan and manage workflow effectively to meet operational targets and deadlines.
4. Monitor and maintain quality control standards across all areas of the operation.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
6. Ensure all operations are carried out in line with Health & Safety and compliance standards.
7. Drive continuous improvement across processes, performance, and service delivery.
The Person:
8. Proven experience in a Vehicle Compound Manager or similar operational leadership role.
9. Strong organisational and logistics management skills within an automotive or similar environment.
10. Experience working in fast-paced, high-pressure operations.
11. Confident using IT systems for tracking vehicles, reporting, and performance management.
12. Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and compliance requirements.
13. Ability to lead, coach, and develop teams to achieve and exceed targets.
14. Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
15. Results-driven with a strong focus on quality and customer service.
